Hello everyone,
in today’s session Zoe was very busy as a doctor for babies and children! She made different kinds of Play -Doh medicine for different kinds of sickness( like fever, the flu, tummy ache ) and of course, kids’ hurt knees . She suggested that I pretend to be the sick child that knocks her office door to ask for medicine. She is so cute when says ”Come in please!”.Sometimes she pretends she is a mom and she has a baby on her own ,so she doesn’t let me enter the office saying ”my girl is sleeping ” .I often give her alternative options according to her scenario to help her enrich her vocabulary, but this is a part of the senario she totally came up with on her own. I found it quite interesting. It probably reflects how she adjusts the role – playing to her perception of herself and to a certain daydream of what she will become. She actually said she wants to be a doctor for babies when she grows up.
We also spent some time with cristamassy activities. Zoe drew little trees in her new blue notebook. We decorted the trees with glitter and called this drawing ”Baby Christmas Trees”. Later on we performed our little Jingle Bells choreography for Katerina. At the end of the session Zoe suggested that I pretend to be Santa Claus and asked for a big blue bike.Great choice, isn’t it?
Kind Regards,
Maria E.
